This is a very sad day

The story behind this page is that I had a young nephew, dearly loved, who somehow got the idea that I would find LOLcats (“I can haz cheezburger?” ) as gut-splittingly hilarious as he did [NOTE to C - I do, really I do!] and he would email me at least 2 or 3 LOLcats every day … for months … without fail.
I dug up the pictures of the wombats here, and handed the captioning to the silliest, funniest, smartest candidate I could think of: my mate Ash.
Unfortunately, around 10:45am on 15 January 2009, Ashleah Emery was killed in a car accident in Ferny Creek near Melbourne. She was just 22.
I can’t even begin to put into words how I feel.
Ashleah Emery, you will be sorely missed by so many people, even people you didn’t know. Including a cadre of grade-schoolers from North Carolina and Alabama.
Ave atque vale, Ash. Rest in peace.
